Aling Maliit

Newt:
Her hazel brown eyes could calm the sea;
Don't know if I must flee.

Aphrodite:
Both of you have grown up next door
You kept your feet on the brown leaf floor.

Newt:
Catharine - my morning cup of tea,
A comely view I long to see.

Aphrodite:
A fire burning in your hear
I tell you that will tear you apart.

Newt:
You are the Goddess of Love they say,
Shall I stay or shall I runaway?

Aphrodite:
You're like a flower deprived of sun,
Longing to belong to someone.

Newt:
Can you not see how I love her true?
Is my love not enough for you?

Aphrodite:
With countless thoughts to haunt you every night,
Knowing sleep will only set it right.

Newt:
My hear was once a vessel,
Perhaps she is one kind of special.

Aphrodite:
Your hear is being played
Like worn out strings.

Newt:
I remember the tears of our skies,
Like the colour of her eyes.

Aphrodite:
In your eyes,
The sadness sings.

Newt:
There was a maiden who I once knew
Now I see her with someone new.

Aphrodite:
I cannot remember why you left a sigh,
and bid her your good-bye.

Newt:
I tried to love her as a friend,
But she never loved me in the end.

Aphrodite:
The darkness takes over you
Your eyes - a blown-out candle without hue.

Newt:
I can't undo what I have done;
We are back to square one.

Aphrodite:
And the saddest thing about regret,
You cannot forgive and forget.
